Edge has spent a decade building sovereign infrastructure: compute, storage, CDN and DNS that organisations run under their own control. Labs began with a question about that infrastructure. What would the frontier of AI actually need from it? The honest way to find out was to build with it ourselves.
So we built a lab. A humanoid, a quadruped and drones on the floor, a print farm and a GPU bench, and a design studio whose device work has won multiple Red Dot awards. Frontier claims get tested there before they reach a report, and the products we recommend get built there.
It also changes who you get. The engineers who write your quarterly report are the same people who spent last week getting a frontier model to run on-device. That's the difference between reading about the frontier and standing on it.
